Adding to that it is best to focus first on house training as that can take a while. Worry not whether your Pekingese is getting enough exercise as they need only a little but they still do enjoy walks outside. But take caution of the temperature as they are sensitive to heat so they should not be left out at the sun and never train if it is a hot day, their flat noses and heavy coat can cause breathing problems if not taken care of.

The Pekingese needs little exercise but enjoy walks but caution for overheat. When training, keep in mind that you have to show them who is the alpha-dog to keep them well behaved and manageable. When not trained properly they can develop negative behavior like separation anxiety, jealousy to other people, over-guarding, unprovoked hostility and too much barking.
